✨ The “No Complaining Challenge” ✨
This Challenge ~ should you choose to accept it 🤩 ~ is simple yet powerful.
- Pick Your Peak Time
Choose a finite block of time that you recognize as a “peak emotional disturbance.”
This should be a time that almost daily, or in some way predictably, feels like a stress point for you.
For me, it’s around 3 pm… Here’s how it goes:
I’m up early—about 5 am, coffee in hand—at my desk, creating a memorable course for women like you until about 10 am.
After that, I tidy up and head out to DoorDash.
By 3ish, I feel the world getting heavy.
Traffic piles up, people get impatient, and the whole flow feels off.
And yeah, I tend to cuss—a lot!
So, my No Complaining Challenge block is 3 pm to sunset, which usually means 4pm-ish.
During that hour, I aim to be mindful of not uttering any complaints, even if I feel them!
- Set Yourself Up for Success
Be kind to yourself in setting this challenge—aim for totally achievable!
You might feel eager to dive in, but sometimes we’re so focused on “getting there” that we don’t allow ourselves to appreciate the so-called small wins, ya know? Uh-huh 😉
I’m choosing one significant hour for my challenge.
What’s yours?
Make it compassionate and realistic. You Brilliant Woman ♥
Here’s a Tip: We can always add to our challenge once we build that first success, right?
- Track Your Progress Your Way
Tracking makes a difference!
Find a way to note down your experience that feels easy and meaningful to you.
For me, it’s my calendar.
I go straight to my desk when I get home—after a quick outfit change, of course!
I mark my day, noting the moments when I stayed calm and didn’t complain, specifically during that magic hour.
I use royal purple for my No Complaining Challenge calendar entries because it feels like celebrating a mini-victory.
Seeing those purple marks reminds me of my progress.
However you choose to track, give yourself permission to really notice those times when you stayed mindful.
